KHEM KHARAN VIDEO RELEASE COMING SOON

Hot off of their debut CD’s Prairie Music Week nomination for Best Production, Khem Kharan are on the move.

With a video in the works for the CDs title track Language of the Heart and concert dates around the corner, it looks like the dream of vocalist/keyboard player and band founder Ken Kemkaran is finally come to pass. “I’ve been working on this project for the past three years and although there has been a lot of high points along the way, it feels like things are really beginning to gel.”

Language of the Heart was released last May and already the band is developing a growing fan base. The CD infuses modern rock with the artistic approach of 70s prog-rock groups like Yes and Genesis.

Kemkaran attributes the popularity of the CD to the veteran musicians and high quality production of the CD. Kemkaren himself has played the nightclub circuits of Toronto and Winnipeg in the early to mid eighties before heading off to Dublin, Ireland.

Other members of the band include Spider Sinnaeve - Bass (Streetheart, Kim Mitchell, Tom Cochrane); Steve Broadhurst – Drums; (Sue Medley, Amanda Stott) Randy Booth – Guitar (Les Pucks, Idle Eyes, Gerry Doucette). “The years of experience these guys bring to the project is evident on the CD,” says Kemkaran.
